Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Virentiq (“virentiq.ai”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of the service at virentiq.ai and our application subdomains. By creating an account or using the service you accept these Terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. The service

virentiq.ai is a Software-as-a-Service platform that helps you draft and publish LinkedIn posts using AI inference you pay for directly via your own Anthropic (Claude) API key. The service is described on our homepage, our pricing page, and the documentation; those pages are part of these Terms by reference. We may change, add, or remove features over time and will give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect a paid plan.

2. Account eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old (18 in jurisdictions that require it for binding contracts).
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for the security of your sign-in credentials and for all activity in your account.
• One human or legal entity per account; do not share credentials.

3. Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK)

Generating posts requires inference from Anthropic. You supply your own Anthropic API key, and Anthropic bills you directly for token usage at their published rates. We charge zero markup on AI inference, and you remain solely responsible for: (a) any costs Anthropic charges you, (b) compliance with Anthropic’s Commercial Terms and Acceptable Use Policy, and (c) keeping your key safe (the key is encrypted at rest in our system; if you suspect it has been compromised, rotate it in Anthropic’s console and update virentiq.ai).

4. LinkedIn integration

Publishing posts requires you to connect a LinkedIn account via first-party OAuth. By doing so you grant virentiq.ai permission to create posts on your behalf within the scopes you authorize, and you agree to use the integration in compliance with LinkedIn’s User Agreement and Professional Community Policies. You are the author and publisher of any post sent through the integration. You can revoke our access from LinkedIn settings or the virentiq.ai connections page at any time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Generate or publish content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent the source of content.
• Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or content designed to manipulate platform algorithms in violation of LinkedIn’s rules.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass rate limits, quota enforcement, or authentication.
• Interfere with the service’s infrastructure or other users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we may remove content from our systems where required by law or by a valid take-down request.

6. Plans, billing, and refunds

• The Free plan is permanent and does not require a payment method. Quota: 5 posts/month, 1 workspace.
• Paid plans (Pro $5/month, Agency $25/month) renew automatically each billing cycle until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
• Fees exclude any applicable taxes, which we will add at checkout where required by law.
• We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods except where required by law. If we change a paid plan’s price, we will give at least 30 days’ notice before the change applies to your renewal.
• Anthropic token costs are billed separately by Anthropic and are outside the scope of our refund policy.

7. Content ownership

You own the content you publish. Drafts generated by the AI on your behalf are yours to use; you also bear responsibility for what you publish. virentiq.ai retains a non-exclusive licence to your content only for the purpose of operating the service for you (storing, rendering, scheduling, and publishing it). We do not use your content to train AI models — ours or anyone else’s — and we do not share it for any purpose beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

The virentiq.ai software, design, brand, documentation, and trademarks are owned by us. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use them solely to access and use the service.

8. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from the account settings page; we will follow the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if your account is used in a way that creates a security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the service (with reasonable notice for paying customers and a pro-rated refund for any unused prepaid period).

9. Service availability and beta features

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance and incidents do occur; status updates and incident notes are posted in the app. Features labelled “beta” or “experimental” may change or be removed at our discretion and are provided without service-level commitments.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of AI-generated content. You are solely responsible for reviewing AI-generated drafts before publishing them and for ensuring any published content is accurate, lawful, and consistent with your professional obligations.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, virentiq.ai’s aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, even if we have been advised of the possibility. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless virentiq.ai from any claim brought by a third party arising out of (a) content you generate or publish through the service, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right (including LinkedIn’s User Agreement).

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION — TBD: pending legal review], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of [VENUE — TBD], except where mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced by email and in the app at least 30 days before they take effect; non-material changes (typos, clarifications) may be made at any time. Your continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
