Connecting LinkedIn

To publish posts directly to your LinkedIn profile, you need to connect your LinkedIn account to virentiq.ai. It takes about two minutes and only has to be done once.

  1. Open the Connections page

    Sign in to virentiq.ai and look at the menu down the left side of the screen. Click Connections.

    This page lists every outside service virentiq.ai can talk to on your behalf, including LinkedIn.

  2. Click Connect LinkedIn

    Find the LinkedIn card. While no account is linked it reads Not connected, and the button on the right of the card says Connect LinkedIn. Click it.

  3. Sign in to LinkedIn when the window opens

    A new window opens on linkedin.com. This is LinkedIn's own sign-in page, served by LinkedIn. Check the address bar says linkedin.com before you type anything, the same as you would anywhere else.

    Sign in with your usual LinkedIn email and password. LinkedIn then asks whether virentiq.ai may post on your behalf. Click Allow.

    virentiq.ai never sees your LinkedIn password. You type it on LinkedIn's own page, and what comes back to us is permission to publish posts. It does not include reading your messages, your connections or anything else on your account.

  4. Check that it worked

    LinkedIn returns you to virentiq.ai automatically. On the Connections page, the LinkedIn card now reads Connected.

    That is the whole setup. Posts can now be published to your feed, either after your approval or automatically, depending on what you choose in Settings.

    The card also shows which LinkedIn profile is linked, so you can confirm at a glance that it is the right account.
    To switch to a different LinkedIn account later, return to Connections and click Disconnect on the card, then connect again.
